This is my maiden voyage blog wise! A first time for everything. Here goes (Thanks to Wendy for holding my hand).
Marianne Soucy (The Managing Partner of our Mystery Shopper Program) and I will be blogging away now and again on any and all topics related to Restaurants, Food, Hotels, Recruiting, Mystery Shopper Programs, Exit Interviews, books,and any other relevant interesting things we can share that will hopefully keep you coming back. If you have any suggestions, or would like to see something discussed specifically please let me know.
We are looking forward to sharing news on hot new restaurants we are aware of, best practices of our industry, why we are different and better, and maybe some funny stories that have come our way in our 8 year history.
First quick funny story in hopes we offend no one. We once had a candidate who we interviewed, liked very much, had an excellent skill set, impeccable references, strong presence, and solid working history. We interviewed this gentleman and concluded he was a good fit for a concept we represent (and still do thankfully). Let’s call this candidate ‘Frank’. Well, we arranged the interview with our client and everything was a go for a great first interview. Problem was, when ‘Frank’ showed up for the interview, he was no longer ‘Frank’, but let’s say…’Nancy’. Quite beautiful I am told as well. Nuff said. What do they say, you never can tell when you work with the public? Keeps things interesting.
One section we’d love to put out to all of you is our Cool Recipe’s . We all love food, love recipes that are neat, and this is your chance to shine and show us what you’ve got recipe wise. Send it along and we’ll get it on there, and feature a few a month. Anything is great– soups, chowder’s, appetizers, ethnic, desserts, fabulous entrees, new drinks, seasonal stuff, family favorites, up to you. We have about 10,000 managers in our database, and 18,000 shoppers registered in every state, and our site is a busy one. Your recipe will live on.
